Both the modern and the archaic name for the hardest of all known minerals – a diamond – come from the Ancient Greek word adamas, meaning «untameable». After it’s shaped in a special way, the diamond becomes a brilliant (from the French brillant – «shiny»). The play of light and refraction of the rays were the inspiration behind the texture of this polish: a bright holographic with multichrome metallic flakes which change their colour from purplish blue to raspberry red and golden. There is also some cool-toned golden micro shimmer, which covers the flakes with an ethereal, barely-there sheen. The base in this polish is transparent just as a clear brilliant, but because of its sparkly rainbow contents the polish is opaque enough to cover the visible nail line in two thicker coats.
